One of the most elegant restaurant in Melbourne run by Neil Perry.

I’ve been an year ago and it was the first time that my girlfriend and I we have been in a fine dining restaurant, it was the beginning of our Love story and the begining of our fine dining journey

We celebrate her birthday, that’s why we decide to dining here, to make her birthday special.

If someone didn’t read “My About”post  doesn’t know that I’m working at Rosetta, by now let’s talk about the night.

Staff absolute fantastic, great welcome and best spot for dining.

We had an aperitivo to start with and then we decide our menu.

We had a sommelier called Greg that take care about our dinner so he decided five different wine.

Antipasto:

Charcoal grilled prawns with orange gremolata and lardo

wine: 2014 oakridge “Murramong” Yarra Valley  VIC for the first 2 entree 

 Charcoal grilled squid with fennel, extra virgin olive oil, chilli and lemon.

A surprise from the Chef we had an absolute delicious dish:

 Scampi with slice of blood plums,tomato brunoise and roe dressing it was a special dish for us and we were really appreciate.

For main we decide to go with 2 of my favourite dishes, but a surprise we received another special dish:


Spaghettini with  cerignola olives, bottarga and olive oil, unforgettable dish.

wine: 2013 Quealy “Turbul” Mornington Penisula VIC


Taglierini with spanner crab, garlic, chilli and parsley


Gnocchi Verdi with salsa cruda and house made ricotta

wine: 2013 Hauner Rosso Salina, Sicily (IT)

OMG!!! We were so full and to finish the night we even had a desserts with a Hazenut liquer made by Greg.

Gianduia custard with citrus and chocolate sponge
 Tiramisu’ from the pastry.

We are excited to share our review because  we would like to invite to have this kind of culinary experience, because YES It is an experience; it’s not only about food but about feeling, atmosphere and philosophy!!!

 

It’s a italian cousine with a mix of australia culture, High quality of ingredients and DOC Italian wine and food.

My girfriend she enjoyed a lot, we had a beautiful night and we would like to say thank you to al the people that were taking care of us.
