Today I decide to talk about my experience in my first Winery in Australia

Last sunday I went with few friends to the Yarra Valley in Victoria, exactly 1.15 h  from Melbourne.

I decide with my love to visit the Oakridge  winery, first, because for her birthday we had a dinner at Rosetta restaurant and the sommelier let us try one of the wine from the Oakridge winery.

2015 Oakridge Local Vineyard Series Murramong Vineyard Arneis

Beautiful day, great atmosphere specially when we arrived and we had the first wine testing at 11 am.  🍶

Oakridge has facilities for  special events, has 2 private function, has a fine dining restaurant and a cellar door so don’t miss out the possibility to enjoy yourself any time

We had a wine testing with 5 different wine from chardonnay til shiraz, then because was lunch time and was a beautiful day we decide to eat salumi and cheese board with a bottle of Arneis and this view.

Absolutly delicious!!!! but it was time to visit another winery.

Next step:

DOMAINE CHANDON

As soon as I know the Chandon winery is the only one that charge $5 for a wine tasting.

Was really busy and we wait a little bit to do the wine testing but before we had a tour inside the cellar door: it’s a great place to eat and relax, staff are very friendly, great wine, also magnificent view with all the mountains vineyard and sky.

The last stop before go back to Melbourne was the

Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery

This place has a wide range of chocolate. It is also entertaining watching the staff making chocolates behind this huge window. I was expecting more then a room of chocolate confectionary but was anyway a nice experience specially when we eat 6 different chocolate.

In the end of the day we were drunk and full of food……
