Grossi Florentino Upstairs |Melbourne CBD| Australia

Since my girlfriend and I are together, we started to go out in different restaurants to taste the different cultures and traditions of other cuisines. Grossi Fiorentino has always been on our to-go list.

A lot of people had good things to say about this restaurant, but the price has been a bit of a deterrent for us, reason why we waited a few months before finally deciding to book a table.

Grossi Florentino is known to be one of the most famous restaurants in Melbourne. Once there, we decided to go for the 5 and the 3 course degustations, where everything was really tasty, sophisticated and well presented, even though we didn’t quite appreciate a couple of dishes due to the strong smoky flavours.

One dish I personally really enjoyed and left me impressed was the dessert – the MELA Apple Terrine, Parsnip Custard, Caramelised Yoghurt, Frozen Fennel Meringue.

  1. That looks amazing, the apple especially is presented so nicely! I’ve actually just started a food blog, just writing wee things about dining out in places in Glasgow. Things have been tough for me over the last few years but food is something that has always brought me comfort (not necessarily a good thing hahaha). Would love it if you were interested and wanted to have a look or give me a follow, it would mean a lot.
